Now that the dust has settled thought l would add my thoughts and comments on last season. First and foremost, many congratulations to the Jets for lifting the playoff cup. Coventry this year was awesome, as a country boy now all the bright lights and the big city went to my head. (Where have l heard that phrase before) Just about getting over it a week later. Jets fans in Coventry, including myself on loan !! made an incredible noise, easily the loudest contingent of fans in the Skydome. Problem there for me however is that, on the 5 games l saw this year at the hanger l swear in the middle of the second period during one of them l heard somebody order a bud in the Cooler bar. Trouble was l was squashed in amongst the 7 Raiders supporters at the other end on the rink. Felt quite sad at that remembering what the crowds and noise used to be like when teams like the Medway Bears were in town. Used to get my voice and hearing back about Tuesday afternoon. Come on guys, you've got the best team in the league, the most loyal fans so lets hear that Coventry roar next season. Loud and Proud. There again, to make that sort of noise there has to be a decent crowd in. Where have all the fans gone, sorry spectators gone. The true fans will always be there no matter what the team but surely being the best team in the league should bring in more people. Not sure how to solve that but hope that winning the playoffs may entice more people into the Hanger next season. Well thats my thoughts on the Jets this season, hope l was not too critical but looking from the outside now and from a purely personel viewpoint l just wish that the Jets, all of them, will be signing for the Raiders next year. Damm just woke up. Mind you, after watching my new tean finish bottom for the third year in a row, which by coincidence in when l moved over here, things can only get better for next season. Hope to see all my friends over here next year, when the Raiders may even surprise you by winning. Oh, sorry, that did that last season he he. Have a great summer see you all next season.
